Water is everywhere, our planet, our bodies and within our cells. We need it to live and yet we know very little about it. The molecular structure of water is a fascinating scientific model with miraculous properties.
This strange phenomenon known as the 'water bridge' was discovered by Elmar Fuchs and colleagues at the Graz University of Technology in Austria. By passing an electrical field with a high voltage through water contained in two separate beakers, the water from each will move and out of the beaker to join with each other! The water in the beaker containing the anode travelled out of the beaker toward the beaker containing the cathode. They discovered that the water molecules were being reordered and formulated into a stable structure, due to the high voltage current.
Elmar Fuchs noticed that the 'water bridge' that was formed between the two beakers was stable enough to remain intact up to a beaker distance of twenty-five millimeters. The actual cause is still uncertain, other than the obvious ordering of the water molecules.
The answer may lie in the property of the water molecule itself. Water is H2O, as we know, therefore we have two hydrogen atoms to one oxygen atom. The strength of the bonds between the hydrogen and the oxygen may give us the answer to the 'water bridge' effect.
When we look even closer at the water molecule, we will see that the actual angle of joining is roughly 107 degrees. This is caused by two highly negative charged electrons within the water molecule; this high charge keeps the electrons away and pushes the two hydrogen atoms closer. This then results in a molecule that has a very distinct positive side and a very distinct negative side; this then, enables the molecules to form ordered structures.
The water molecules can therefore piece themselves together and the presence of the high voltage electrical current could further enhance this ability and exaggerate the effect further, causing the formation of the water bridge between the two beakers.
This is still speculative and the mysteries of the molecular structure of water are still being unlocked. Perhaps the healing power of water lies in the molecules' abilities to form ordered structure, or perhaps the two distinct charged sides hold the answers. The 'water bridge' is a scientific phenomenon that needs further investigation for the miraculous nature of water to be revealed.
