The Simplicity of World Peace

World peace is actually a very simple idea; people of all faiths and backgrounds live together peacefully!  How simple and yet how incredibly hard to put into action. Why is the idea of world peace so difficult and why is the idea met such resistance? Why also, are those who desire for world peace, seen as naïve or unrealistic?

World peace stems ultimately from a singularity; this singularity may be purpose, goal and desire and transcends ideas such as faith or religion. The problem with singular thinking in the manifest world is that it soon turns corrupt or into a dictatorship and then one idea of singular thinking becomes opposed to another’s idea of singular thinking. World peace, therefore, must be a singularity of ideals and what better ideal could there be than world peace!

Of course, the problem lies in the notion that a very small few seem to rule the majority; this also links with the idea that a small percentage of the planet runs the financial aspects. Is this because they have been allowed to be placed in these situations or is there some evil force lurking behind the doors of Government. What would happen if we all just stopped and demanded change, change in the fundamentals of human existence such as respect and dignity?

World peace is not unreasonable, eradicating hunger is not unreasonable and stopping war is not unreasonable; it only seems this way because we are used to the notions of hunger and violence. There are enough resources in the world to feed everyone and there are enough resources in the world to eradicate poverty and yet the system is set up so that the select few have access to these resources.

The good news is that things will change and that this situation is not an infinite one; empires fall and kingdoms eventually crumble when people say, ‘enough is enough’. The notion of world peace is, therefore, not naïve or unrealistic; it is, rather, a golden ideal that is a common thread amongst the majority of the population. This common thread may well have been ignored for centuries but there will be a tipping point when the old ways of doing business and distributing wealth will change.

Do not ever give up on the idea of world peace, do not ever give up on the idea of ending hunger and poverty and, ultimately, do not give up on the idea of you living in a world of honesty, kindness and peace; it is possible.
